Wrestling

Boston getting a take down

trying to pin him
Bostons half nelson

Boston has been wrestling these last couple months. It's been fun.
One of my favorite stories about wrestling is: Shane and Boston
were on there way home from practice and Shane was reinforcing
how much fun wrestling is, Boston agreed and asked "what are
you going to sign me up for next Dad?" Shane replied that he
didn't know. "I have a good idea, how about tag?" Boston exclaims.
That story pretty much sums up our wrestling season. Boston did
great but is really wiggly and just wants to run. He always has
this cute grin on his face during his matches and I love his over
dramatic hand shake with his competitor lifting their hands up
high over their heads before the match starts.
Here are a few of many pictures.

Brody's Stitches

Brody got 3 stitches while playing at a friends house.
He was diving into a bean bag and hit the edge of the
table on the way. Putting in the stitches was very
traumatic. Hopefully taking them out won't be as bad.

Hawaii

Eli enjoying the scene (shown below) at Wiamea

We were able to visit the open house at the temple, AMAZING!

We had a wonderful opportunity to go to Hawaii with some
of Shane's family, to celebrate Grandmas 80Th birthday. We
had a blast and it was nice to just relax with one boy, Eli. He
enjoyed all the attention and lovin' since he was the only
child on the trip. I loved just being able to stare at him all
day, like I was able to with Boston. Although we kept busy
with Shane as our official tour guide. The boys did good here
with friends and my parents. THANKS to everyone who made
this trip possible.

Halloween

We had fun with our friends this Halloween season!

...and ELI DARREN

Coming home, 8 hours after birth

first bath, given by Grandma Deanie

Our Eli is so precious. We love him so much! He was born late
September 15th, weighing in at 6' 14". Thankfully everything
went great. We made it to the birthing center with plenty of time.
Which was a huge concern because Shane almost delivered Brody.
Although it was still a fairly short labor. He scored a 10 on the
Apgar test right after coming out and wasn't even screaming,
but was very calm and alert. He is doing so good, and learning to
smile which is the highlight of my day.

Brody

First Day of Pre-school

Brody is sure growing up fast, I guess thats what a new baby does.
He started school at the same school Boston goes to, he thinks he's
pretty big. Brody loves to dress up. He is always sporting something
silly, from a conductors hat to hotpads as shoes. Brody has a tendancy
to find the oldest person in the room and make them their best friend.
So naturaly grandmas and grandpas are his favorite. When playing
pretend he wants to be the grandma. He also loves his new baby
brother, always giving him full attention. Brody has a great little laugh
that is contagious and everyone loves.

Boston

First day of school, what a little stud!

Kick ball team

We have the cutest kindergardener you ever saw. Boston is a
busy little boy. He has started playing sports this year with
kickball in the spring, soccer in the fall and just started
wrestling. He even ran in a little race in Midway this spring.
He quite the athlete and learned how to ride a "two wheeler"
bike. He loves playing with his friends and has made many
new friends because many of his friends left him all at the
same time, moving out of state or country, poor guy. He is silly
and loves to tease. I can't believe how big he is.

Update

Shanes been traveling lots.
Boston has turned into the most delightful boy (with a few exceptions). Please let me explain: I feel like he's finely coming out of the annoying 2-3 year old thing. Example he goes to bed without a yelp.
This gives me hope for Brody because he is smack in the middle of this stage. With Boston I just assumed this would last forever I didn't get it really was a stage.
I am obsessed with the Redemption Song by Rhianna. Also Pinks performance at the latest awards show.
My kids are always singing the Diaper Dance Song, thanks Jenna. Although their dancing along makes it all worth it.
We've been eating Costco muffins like you wouldn't believe, unless you saw my kitchen floor.
Brody is in the WHY stage.
Brody's skin is doing so much better.
Boston is one of the best in his pre-school class.
We have hardly any snow here. I can't believe it. Last year we didn't see our grass from Nov.-Jun. Hope we at least get some more rain, for drought reasons.
I cannot believe I am into the Bachelor. So not my thing.
I haven't updated the blog because once I got family pictures done I stopped taking pictures, thinking oh I'm covered. 5 months later I realize oops. The batteries are charging now, I better get clickin.
